A calming recipe + ritual for a grounded tea moment
There’s something about June that invites you to slow down. The days stretch long and golden, the air hums with quiet energy, and time feels like it's walking barefoot on the beach sand.
For this in-between season — not quite spring, not yet summer — we’re blending something a little earthy and wise: Sage & Chamomile — a grounding, soul-soothing duo for clarity and calmness.
Why Sage & Chamomile?
Sage is a herb with history — ancient, grounding, and full of quiet wisdom.
Chamomile is its soft-spoken companion, known for calming nerves and softening the edges of a restless mind.
Together, they make the kind of tea you’d sip on a journaling morning, a reflective evening, or anytime your thoughts feel too loud, and your body needs an exhale.
This blend is perfect for:
Mental clarity
Emotional balance
Moments of overwhelm or decision-making
Evening wind-downs
Simple rituals of release and reset
The Recipe: Grounding in a Cup
Ingredients
1 tbsp dried chamomile flowers
1 tsp dried sage leaves
Optional: a drizzle of raw honey or a squeeze of lemon for brightness
Instructions
Add the chamomile and sage to a teapot or infuser.
Pour hot water (just below boiling) over the herbs.
Let it rest for 6–8 minutes.
Strain, pour, and sip intentionally.
Bonus points: pair with soft music, a window breeze, or your favorite flowy linen set.
The Ritual
This tea isn’t just about flavor — it’s a reminder to return to yourself. While it steeps, close your eyes and breathe deeply. Ask yourself: “What am I ready to let go of today?” Write it down. Even just one word. Then sip, slowly. With presence. With purpose.
Let the sage steady you. Let the chamomile soften you.
Tea That Grounds the Spirit
Sage has always been the plant of reflection — of memory, of release, of wisdom that lives quietly within us. Paired with chamomile’s comfort, it becomes a blend that feels less like tea, and more like a gentle invitation back to yourself.
So, here’s to June — a month to move slower, think softer, and sip deeper.
