Is April the new January?

January bucket list is a myth! This year I have decided to take it slow. I didn't add a bucket list on paper & fought every thought of planning this year through adding a bucket list or wish list or a goal list that I end with some progression to every goal without completion. And I can see, January ended followed by Ramadan & Eid. So, I'd consider the first quarter of 2026 as a very busy season that passed while re-building my resiliency. So, YES I am considering April as the new January.
This month, I have decided to come back in this space while writing and reflecting on regular basis, as well as publishing my thoughts again after years of pausing this blog. As well, as building the below habits with you as a very expressive person I knew that it will be sooooo hard to keep it slow or low-profile. So, here we are with a website revamp & lots of thoughts to be added to paper (or to website?!).
2026 Habit List - starting April!
I have downloaded & subscribed to HABIT, which is a mobile application where you add all your habits that you want to build or quit or stay consistent with to keep someone with my personality sane! And below is the daily habits list instead of having a bucket list that I end up with 50% completion if we are optimistic. So, another change in addition to starting in April! I am adding a daily habit list not an annual bucket list that looks & feels overwhelming.
Trying 75 HARD challenge to kick start the year (even from April)
Start the day right - slow mornings, winding down, sleep, arrange the bed, tidy the clothes, and keep everything as clean & organized as possible
Live a balanced lifestyle - weight myself daily to see the trend, eat in calorie deficit, take my vitamins, stay hydrated with less soda & caffiene, workout & finish my steps
Stay close to Allah - praying, fasting, zikr, Quraan, zakat & sadaqat
Stay inspired - reading & podcasts
Ensure feeling good & grateful
And under every pillar there are some goals that I keep revisiting & changing on monthly basis.
2026 Bucket List
As well, there is the generic bucket list that is additional & I will be happy if completed anytime from now till April 2027!
Perform the annual Umrah
Proceed with my second MBA certification
Have slow disconnected days during weekends (preferably out of town by the sea, under the sun, with the sand while collecting seashells)
Travel to explore new places (locally & internationally)
Explore new movements - new yoga forms, Pilates reformer, and more
Exploring new creative activities - painting, journaling, jewelry making, and more
More education in different pillars - Islamic studies, life coaching, health coaching, and more
